This included the supervision over and coaching of ~3 project leaders.Lead the Process Improvement program for raising the maturity level of the project management processes. This was done based on Watts Humphrey’s SW CMM (Capability Maturity Model), and resulted in formal certification in February 2002.Member of SPECS Management team.

Built the SW team (from 2 to 23 SW engineers) and the competences for the first Digital Set-Top box project that was completely developed and manufactured by the Philips plant in Hasselt. Managed the project from inception to product release and launch in Latin America including Post Release support.Managed the interfaces with other engineering disciplines (electrical, mechanical, quality, production), suppliers (The Netherlands, France, UK, Israel) and customers (News. Corp. US, Mexico, Brazil, Columbia) including Field Tests in Latin America.Made Philips the leading supplier of Digital Satellite Set-Top Box Receivers for News. Corp. Took over the project management of a European subsidy project on the subject of Massively Parallel Fault-Tolerant Systems in the final year of its run. Coordinated the activities of the international project consortium with academic and business partners from Belgium, Germany, UK and Portugal, including progress and financial reporting towards the European Commission reviewers.
