In collaboration with School Committee members and the School Administration, Chris helped accomplish all of this with unprecedented transparency and cooperation with local and state leaders. Additional Details:While on the campaign trail in 2010, Chris proposed that an Advisory and Finance Sub-Committee be created to serve as an additional check on the Swansea Public School's $18.3 million budget. Following his election, the School Committee created this sub-committee, promoting a higher level of transparency and thoroughness in the development of the school department budget. Chris also campaigned on the need for an in-school suspension program. After he was elected, Chris was instrumental in reinstating the program, ensuring that disciplined students are still required to come to school for guidance and supervision.
