Duties; Daily T-SQL development work for file imports/exports and reporting Creation of SSRS auto data output based on client/colleague specifications or CRs Innovative automation of manual tasks within the Dept and company as a whole using SSIS Data Warehouse storage for 11 clients & multiple internal databases Daily maintenance & developments to DWH load jobs (ETL) Replicated all clients’ Mainframe databases to SQL Databases Daily ad-hoc data extraction for both clients and internal staff Business process improvements in order to increase efficiency Development and upgrading of BA reports using SSRS & Qlikview Client support and relationship management On-call weekend cover for critical reporting scheduled jobs Trained new staff in SQL standards and offered SQL support across the business Documented Dept tasks and processes Applications/Software used on daily basis include Sql Mgt Studio, BIDS, SSIS, SSRS, Visual Studio, ReportBuilder, Qlikview, Jira

Duties; Developed SQL queries to extract in-depth data for daily company reports on ticketing system – reports used by senior mgt to analyse staff/project (in)efficiencies Project work to create Regression packs for QA Dept using T-SQL and SSIS packages. Created automated jobs to reduce wasted Dept time using excel & Windows bat files Set up daily batch jobs on AS400 Controlling internal & external user access to systems Updating & maintaining documentation Transferring files via FTP Dealing with ad-hoc queries/requirements Worked on company’s first Regression Testing project creating SQL based queries

Duties; Resolving any IT issues that any of our 55 stores have to ensure they can take sales Resolving any IT issues that our Head Office or Distribution Centre have to ensure that they can also assist the above Creating and setting up automated batch jobs DBA admin on iTunes SQL database for all stores and dealing with reporting queries Ensuring that all of the company's sales are processed correctly available on reports for management Closing off and archiving each week's figures and opening the new week Personally installing new IT equipment in any of our 55 stores Testing new software/hardware in stores before roll out Providing weekend support to all 55 stores Setting up of promotions and offers that the company is running Assisting our Web team to ensure that the company's online presence is strong Assisting buyers who travel abroad through setting up travel laptops that can connect to our network Dealing with and monitoring the IT helpdesk to ensure issues/queries are dealt with as efficiently as possible Monitoring the usage off and maintaining all IT equipment throughout the company Carrying out and assisting in any IT projects that are needed

- Look after the accounting side for all property related costs for the company - rent, rates, s.ch, electricity, insurance, etc.- Prepare month end accruals for all overhead charges and participate in P&L preparations.- Manage all employee expenses.- Calculate and estimate annual budgets for each of our 55 stores before our financial year begins.- The sole person who tracks and monitors the energy usage for the entire company using a system that I created and put in place. This has helped to lower the company's energy usage since I began and also helped the company during a year of huge rises in the cost of energy.

- Authorising refunds and price changes.- Operating cash registers.- Training new staff members on cash registers.- Performing cash lifts on staff members.- Covering Managements’ lunches.- Dealing with customers and resolving any problems or queries they may have.- Preparing all floats for cash registers at the weekend.- Counting all cash from the previous day's sales.- Organising the store’s cash lodgements.- Declaring all cash registers at day’s end.- Helping Management to close store at day’s end.- Entering roster into company's clock-in system and adjusting employees’ clock-ins for payment.During this time I also spent time in Heatons Head Office (where I am currently employed) in; - the Warehouse - the Marketing Department - the Accounts DepartmentThese temporary summer placements helped me to build up a key understanding of how the company operates at all levels.
