I am a Partner in the Projects Team at Burges Salmon LLP.I advise public and private sector customers and suppliers on major projects of many types, including public procurement, PPPs, outsourcing and commercial transactions across a broad range of sectors. I have particular experience in the defence, space and nuclear sectors. Above all I help clients to develop clear and manageable contracts with the right pricing structure, incentivisation, allocation of risk and governance arrangements to enable successful project delivery. This includes:- developing delivery models and contracting strategies- designing incentivisation and remedy structures - drafting and negotiating contract terms- anticipating and managing contract change- handling assurance and approvals- navigating regulated procurement environments I also help clients to manage their contracts by training project teams and advising on issues arising during contract performance. My recent experience includes advising the Ministry of Defence on the Skynet 6 satellite programme and the AUKUS submarine programme.
