    I had the unique challenge of programming a station for a small company in a small town on the fringe of two top 100 markets (Baton Rouge and New Orleans). The station competed with two country stations in New Orleans and the two others in Baton Rouge. I established great relationships with record labels, promotion companies and venues. These relationships led to the station putting on some big promotions including the first country concert in the area in over 5 years. The station finished first in the Spring 2007 Eastlan ratings.

    Was hired to do nights on 96.5 The Star but within a year was moved to Afternoon Drive. Had a well rated afternoon show, W18-34 and W 25-54. Very listener focused and driven. Heavy, compelling phones and local content. As a station we were very active. We had the reputation as "the party station" and upheld it at all of our events. .

Little did I know, someone I knew from Indianapolis was hired as their new PD. He hired me on the spot to help with production and be their main swing talent. After a staff change, I was moved to the asstiant production director's job for the cluster.

Susquehanna was a great company to work for. In the fall of 2000 rumors of the station's format being changed got hotter and I was told I would be wise to see what was out there. Point taken. I looked. Denver called.
