Business Systems Analyst serving on the business process management team. The Business Process Management (“BPM”) team enhances organizational effectiveness by studying business processes across the company and developing process improvements. Improvements may take the form of process simplification (e.g., reduction of steps or duplication), modification/streamlining (e.g., changing the order or allocation of tasks), automation (using technology to perform or accelerate tasks), or other improvements, such as quality controls to enhance value, consistency, and/or risk management. The BPM team will take a holistic and collaborative approach in identifying potential or actual bottlenecks, gaps, or redundancies, and opportunities for cost savings, enhanced value, or other improvements (including compliance and risk management).Understanding processes gives clarity to how an enterprise actually works, which should correspond to the business rules that are encapsulated in policies. Knowledge of processes also drives all procedural efforts in that processes define the sequence, transitions, and decision points of the workflows that underlie all detailed procedures. The goal of the Business Process Management program is to help identify, assess, document and redesign processes in the business as a whole in order to ensure they are effective. This approach includes key steps:1. Understand Process Frameworks2. Capture Processes3. Define & Diagram Processes4. Recommend Process Improvements5. Coordinate Implementation of Improvements6. QC Sign-off on Improvements
