Analyzed performance problems Softchoice was having with their SAP BusinessObjects SQL Server 2008 business intelligence reporting database and provided several recommendations. Recommendations included further denormalizing their data model as well as tuning the indexes to more closely match the reporting queries being performed against the database.

• Designed and developed a system for automating the import and calculation of data into Statpro SPA and SFI. The system included a web interface for monitoring and submitting jobs and a web interface for generating requests to Bloomberg. ASP.Net, VB.Net, SQL Server and IIS were used.• Developed a web portal proof of concept using DotNetNuke, delivering a single point of access for all web applications. The portal provided automatic login using Active Directory authentication. DotNetNuke, IIS, VB.NET and SQL Server were used.• Designed and developed the data model and a dynamic table-driven transformation engine for a Basel II ETL project. SQL Server and SQL Server Integration Services were used.• Designed and developed a user configurable ETL system for importing client files into the Risk & Investment Analytics system. This saved approximately $10k/client by replacing the existing method of creating a new program for every new client on-boarded. C# and SQL Server were used.• Designed and developed a system for creating MMF transactions in a cash management application, based on client rules and account balances. VB.Net, SQL Server and IBM MQ were used.• Designed and developed a web based term deposit purchasing system. The system calculates and updates in real time the amount of term deposits a trader can purchase from a particular counterparty based on client account balances and credit limit rules. C#, ASP.NET, WCF, Telerik RADControls for ASP.Net and SQL Server were used.

• Bug fixed and developed new features for Sylvan, a performance attribution application - PowerBuilder, C#, SQL Server and Oracle were used.• Designed initial architecture for a rebuild of the Recon reconciliation software on .Net and SQL Server. A 3-tier architecture was used, with a smart-client GUI communicating with the server via web services. C# and Visual Studio 2005 were used to build the initial framework and to do prototyping.• Redesigned the Recon match engine to give it almost unlimited flexibility. Design included a plug-in system, to easily allow the addition of new match engine modules.• Designed and developed Sylvan Integrator, a dynamic data read and verification tool for performance data - PowerBuilder, SQL Server and Oracle were used.• Designed and developed a utility to launch an application remotely – Visual Basic, DCOM and XML were used.• Converted large SQL Server stored procedures to Oracle.• Performed query optimization for Sylvan reporting.

Designed and developed a web based Vehicle Part and Service Pricing application for use by Lexus using C#, ASP.NET, ADO.Net and SQL Server. Designed and generated the database schema for the application using PowerDesigner.

Designed and developed a 3 tier inventory reconciliation application using C#, Windows Forms, ADO.Net, SQL Server and Crystal Reports. Application was developed with performance in mind – on a standard desktop computer (Athlon 1900) 1 million records were processed in 3 minutes.

Installed and setup 3 Redhat Linux web servers and a database server with RAID at a Colocation facility.
