As a leader, I strive to build a family atmosphere where people don't work for me, but work with me. I am very competitive in a good way, looking to find opportunities to build into strengths. I am quick to learn new skills or concepts, and in the process discover ways to make things easier for others to learn, or save the experience to use as an example for future learning. I am process driven, yet constantly look for ways to better streamline an operation or reduce redundancies as a way to improve efficiency. My goal at the end of the day is to leave things, people, or places better than how I found them.Accomplishments:- Within a few weeks of working with the new automated Small Sort Tilt Tray system at U.P.S. I was able to coordinate with Facilities Maintenance to make a modification to our equipment. This modification not only kept the team members busy, but also reduced clutter, and most importantly reduced the reload time when a bagging area had depleted its supply of bags. This, in turn, made our small sort operation and hub the most efficient in the country.- During an annual fundraiser for Breast Cancer awareness, I asked my team what they would like to do to raise money. We took a vote and settled on a Calendar Insert Poster, as well as a Swimsuit Pageant. I was able to delegate tasks to the Assistant Managers, as well as other General Managers in the region. With my support, not only were we able to reach #2 in the company in funds raised (Our golf tournament for Toys for Tots raised more money than the #1 store who had a golf tournament for Breast Cancer Research). Along with the donations raised, our poster became a tool to help sell calendars and other merchandise, and I had the opportunity to Emcee the Pageant and develop comfort with public speaking.Contact me at 469-816-8677 or chriscrotty22@gmail.com for any opportunities.
