My role within Response was to help develop unique propositions for our clients in a largely undifferentiated market and provide the rich content (copy, video, imagery) that helps.

As one of the Managing Partners helped to build the agency to 50 strong with some great brands such as Samsung, Telegraph Media Group, Cass Business School, The Spirit Group, Scalextric, Cap Gemini...Plans to float the agency on AIM were curtailed when a large client defaulted on its debt.

This was the first company I set up with my business partner. A very exciting time as we built a 12 strong Marketing & PR agency, with £million+ fee turnover, that specialised in business-to-business clients. Significant wins included IBM, 3M, De La Rue, Sandoz, Systems Union, Oxford Instruments and Phillips. At the end of our first year we were nominated.

I was brought into Hyde & Partners by Dow Chemical who wanted to consolidate their European plastics business in one London agency. At the time I was managing the Polyurethanes business within another London agency. Hyde & Partners were awarded the Polyurethanes business on the understanding that I came too!! Most of my time at Hyde & Partners was spent.

I was recruited as a product manager for the company's range of diagnostic kits. I had specific responsibility for the launch of new products across my region whch included the Middle East, Eastern Europe, Far East, Indian Sub-Continent and South America. I developed marketing programmes to support the launches and provided training to local sales teams.

My first job. I spent the initial six months learning the business and was then sent off to Eire for 4 months to uncover new business opportunities. It was a time when technology was taking off and US companies were establishing manufacturing bases in Eire. From there, I was sent to Lyons (France) for 3 months to support the opening of a new office. Back.
