As the Director for an innovative firm consulting to the New Zealand Defence Force, I leverage off my prior experience working within the NZDF to successfully develop and implement technology strategies thereby enhancing their ability to adapt and thrive in a technologically evolving environment. I have successfully created a high-performing team, identified internal team members who have the skills and motivation needed to drive the technological development of the NZDF and established a joint commitment to enhancing the transitional processes for all team members.While collaborating with the CIS Branch Executive Team, I developed and presented the xIE proof of concept, successfully designed, installed and implemented a Hybrid Cloud using Microsoft Azure and Azure Stack and delivered a solution that achieves all set objectives across a complex, multi-classified and multi-tenanted environment.I proactively identified and mitigated potential challenges within a unique environment and spearheaded automation strategies across the CIS Branch. I also delivered strategies to adapt to changing technological requirements and created a culture of innovation and growth within all team members. I successfully led the agile release train to develop and deploy a production ready solution for all NZDF networks, designed the Hybrid Cloud Roadmap and set achievable targets for each team member thereby ensuring every individual had a role to play towards achieving project goals. During my tenure in this position I have consistently excelled as the first Product Manager for Platforms within a SAFe Agile framework, successfully led the change into a cloud enabled environment and coordinated all teams to achieve maximum buy-in with minimal resistance.

As the Business Solutions Manager for FENZ, I was the driving force behind the integration of business with ICT, this required tenacity, innovative thinking and the ability to lead and influence others for the betterment of the organisation. I successfully researched, designed and developed FENZ’s 5-Year ICT Transformation Plan, created a strategy that would reinvent the delivery of user-centric ICT services for the New Zealand Public and secured funding for an $86 million programme. I spearheaded the implementation of Cloud Services including Office 365, Azure Compute Services and a variety of software services thereby improving the user experience and increasing user engagement across FENZ. I also created and implemented Phase one of the Mobility Project, successfully designed the developed the architecture of a secure backend system to deliver resilient mechanisms designed to improve the dispatch methods of emergency response personnel. I successfully designed, tested and implemented situational awareness tools designed for fire appliances and body-worn sensor systems, designed hardware and software systems to provide a robust mobile platform and showcased a sound understanding of FENZ requirements, opportunities and obstacles. In this role, I collaborated with the USAR team to design, develop and tested command post IT systems, enhanced the communications within challenging environments and facilitated a culture of communication, collaboration and situational awareness. I showcased versatility, resilience and an overarching commitment to success, managed a broad and varied workload and seamlessly aligned individual outputs with the needs of the FENZ organisation.
