I am an entrepreneurial leader who is energetic and dynamic. I grow organizations, surpassing expectations set by others. As well I am a leader that believes in helping staff grow in order to do their work, that teams and teamwork are a fundamental part of success for any organisation. I am a firm believer in working smart and in working hard. Being a flat rather than vertical organization is my preferred structure. I have worked for Boards and been on Boards, so I am familiar with both sides of that working relationship. I am a leader in helping people and communities take control of their future, whether they do this through starting a business, making community development plans, running organizations. I have consulted in fields as diverse as Gender projects, Tourism, Youth, &d Economic Development among many areas. I have been an advocate of self directed community development and have developed and implemented programs that use entrepreneurship and personal development to support people in achieving their dreams and goals, helping to grow communities. My strengths lay in leadership, building consensus, taking action, inspiring people, and directing a group's energies towards a common goal. I have worked to develop entrepreneurial cultures in communities. Innovation, curriculum and program development, and strong facilitation skills are strengths that have helped me be successful in my field.

During my tenure I Grew budget by 300% in first year and by 200% in the second Used collaboration to bring together various non-cooperating segment of the industry to work for a common goal. Have initiated discussions for an industry-led funding of the organization that will lead to a 1000% increase in revenue. The Drumheller area was the recipient of the 2013 Tourism Community of the Year. Have run national ad campaigns with excellent results Increased tourism visitation by 20% in each year.Of note: I ran a cross Canada marketing campaign that was viewed by over 1.3 million people. This campaign was done to coincide with the release of the movie Jurassic World. The campaign was done in conjunction with Cineplex theatres across the country. Visitation in Drumheller jumped 20% in spite of a downturn in the economy. -

Over time this expanded to other areas of Canada and then internationally. I managed an organisation of over 50 staff and budgets in excess of $3,000,000.Key Results: Built a 15 location franchise in 3 countries specializing in entrepreneurship for youth, with over 2,000,000 youth participants. Took an entrepreneurship training organization focused on schools and expanded it into a training organization in many different areas of society. Expanded geographic scope to include over 35 countries Had increased sales from $200,000 per year to $3,000,000 a year over a five year period, with additional growth in core funding Trained 6-member management team on sales, finding and closing opportunities, and managing customer relationships Introduces a triple bottom line policy to the organization Had increased participant enrollment in school based programs from 1000 to 7,000 over 3 years

Trained teachers across Nova Scotia and teachers came from across Canada to take our summer trainings.
