I was responsible for managing the relationship with Telstra for Visionstream as a delivery partner. I engaged across the carrier’s operations unit to develop opportunities utilising consultative selling and account management principles to develop proposals and negotiate commercial agreements for external plant including access network augmentation (fibre & copper), internal plant including transmission networks & access networks and critical infrastructure services.

I was the Senior Distribution consultant with Telstra International based in Manila consulting to a Start Up Joint Venture between Telstra and San Miguel to launch a wireless network in the Philippines. I had direct accountability for the overall retail strategy and I led a team to deliver the organisational design, retail format, channel operational support systems, processes focused on optimising the customer experience, retail technology and vendor selection, retail footprint and site acquisition strategy for the JV.

I led a $100M business in the Hunter & Central Coast region to deliver outstanding sales and advocacy results across consumer and business segments through 20 branded retail stores, 2 contact centres and and 90 direct employees. I led the partnership management of the licensed branded channel to maximise their profitability and sustainability whilst optimising the customer experience. I chaired the cross business Local Area Board driving employee engagement, leading the customer centric transformation to improve end to end service delivery, Local Area Marketing and enhancing Telstra’s brand. I managed relationships with external stakeholders across business, media, community and State and Federal government MP’s to positively influence Telstra’s reputation in the region. I was the primary Media spokesperson for matters relating to Telstra across the region.

I was accountable for a P&L of $2.2B leading a team maximising Telstra’s retail presence and business performance in sales and customer service for the states of Victoria & Tasmania. The scope of the role included accountability for consumer and small business segments across 100 branded stores and business centres with over 1500 employees. I was a member of the Consumer division senior leadership team that developed the customer service transformation strategy and I led its execution within Victoria and Tasmania.

I was the technical specialist supporting the Account Manager and customers to develop solutions based on Telstra’s IP solution set. The role encompassed working with external customers and cross business with Telstra operations and product teams to develop and supply solutions for enterprise and business customers. I ensured seamless implementation of the solutions to customer specifications particularly when located in regional Victoria where I project managed a number of network implementations. I prepared customer proposals tailored to the specific needs of customers and led or supported the proposal negotiations with key customers. I ensured the Account Manager and customers were updated on the application of new and emerging technology. I managed key external & internal stakeholders relevant to the achievement of business objectives for the consultant role.
