Chief Information Officer and technology evangelist for a $180 billion pension fund serving over 1.9 million members. Provide executive direction and oversight in the planning and execution of TRS information technology functions. Participate as a member of the agency’s executive council in managing the strategic direction of the agency, the development, revision and implementation of the strategic plan, legislative appropriation requests (LAR), TRS Laws and Rules, policies, and biennial and annual budgets. Develops and maintains favorable relations and communications with the Board of Trustees, oversight agencies, government officials, employers, members, and annuitants.

Directs the NIS Department providing long-term planning, architecture design, support, implementation, and troubleshooting activities for agencies network LAN/WAN systems, desktop computing, enterprise applications, voice & data services and telecommunications. Oversees network management functions in support of IT services related to the operation, performance and availability of voice and data communications networks. Analyzes network performance with responsibility for overall performance and availability. Directs and manages the planning, development, installation, testing, modification, and evaluation of all enterprise systems and related clients services and reporting. Has significant exposure to users and interfaces with all levels of management and outside vendors.
