Managing a team in the Personal Lines Department which sold and renewed a wide range of policies to businesses and individuals across the East Midlands. My department's product lines included Motor, High Net Worth Household, Property Owners and Motor Fleet, and here I ensured that my team achieved all of our business retention targets, in compliance with FSA regulations.My role extended to include handling and selling Commercial business such as Shops & Offices, Combined and Property Owners cover, including clients with property portfolios with a market value in excess of £10 million.My overall responsibilities included profitably developing all client relationships, ensuring that expert advice was offered in all areas of the business; ensuring that all computer records were FSA compliant; ongoing training of my staff team as well as maintaining personal proficiency – in particular within commercial business.

In this role I provided professional independent insurance and risk advice to businesses and individuals both regionally and nationally with this renowned Broker.Day to day, this involved me profitably developing client relationships across a wide range of policy areas, and persuasively negotiating with insurers on policy and claim issues on behalf of key clients.I worked closely with the business development directors to prepare policy documents, quotations and claims in relation to our client visits. I also performed detailed audits to ensure rigorous procedures were correctly followed.
