I facilitate learning, reflection and personal development with groups and individuals. I also write books on MBA-related topics.I have over 28 years of experience working in management training and education. I have discovered an inverse balance between learning and knowing during this time. That is, the more you learn, the less you know. This doesn't mean that you become more stupid; the opposite is true. Being an open-minded, present-time, grounded and centred learner is very liberating. In 2022 I was named a University Teaching Fellow at the University of Reading.The key is a genuine and insatiable curiosity about people, places and the nature of the world, and an intellectual rigour in identifying your and others' assumptions and taken-for-granteds.I indulge my curiosity (mixed with creativity) at Henley Business School, one of the oldest management schools in the world. I am exactly where I have chosen to be, challenged and intrigued by the professionals and practitioners I meet.I completed my PhD in Management Learning at Lancaster University in 2013. My first book, "The Every Day MBA", was published by Pearson in January 2015, and my second, "Brilliant Strategy for Business", in February 2016. "MBA Day by Day" came out in 2019, and in 2021 my book “The Integrated Leader” was issued.My research interests include systemic constellations and coaching, group and team development, personal development, and reflective practice. I am open to networking with people who share the same passions. I’m also a fan of single malt Scotch whiskies. Especially Glenfarclas.
