I served as the Special Events Program Specialist - responsible for all Special event permits for the City for both public and private events. I also booked all the bands for our Summer Concert Series including price negotion, contracts and music choices. Additionally, I was responsible for accepting all vendors: Food, Speciialty and crafts, for our bi monthly Farmers Market. I also had to work the front desk of the Tennis Center as needed to fill in for other staff members when not available. This including using Rec Trac and running reports and registering residents for various activities.

Responsible for the planning, organization, and implementation of all social activities for a private 55+ Community. This includes the booking of all shows for a yearly “Entertainment Series” (3-4 shows), booking monthly lectures on varied subjects, planning Holiday events which would include food, music and decorations, scheduling of all exercise classes – both on land and in the pool, organization and hosting of monthly Trivia Contests including prizes, and many other various duties. Also responsible for scheduling of ballroom for all clubs and also renting ballroom for private functions including all rental contracts and payments. Part of my job description is the organization and writing of monthly community newsletter including collecting articles from all clubs, collecting advertising and sending proof to the printer. For all special events in the ballroom, I was responsible for the set up of the room including tables, chairs, table coverings, set up of all food and drink, and all decorations for each special event. Set up sign ups online for each special event and managed all lists including waiting lists for each event. Customer service in person and on the phone was a daily responsibility. Also, I ran Sound and Lighting for most of the special events and lectures.

Ty Park Hollywood Florida

Responsible for the coordination, implementation and organization of all special events that take place in T.Y. Park in Hollywood. This includes all park-sponsored events (such as Hayrides, Bike rodeos, Splashtacular Family Fridays in our water park) as well as coordinator for all public park-oriented events done through private renters/organizations. Responsible for acquiring all supplies for special events as well as hiring vendors for events as needed. Currently, in charge of all social media publicity for all events (Twitter, Facebook) as well as the ordering of all marketing materials for all park events (Flyers, Posters and Banners). Additionally, in charge of all Park Permits for special events as well as processing of Certificates of Insurance, Vendor Affidavits and Special Event Vendor applications. When Special events are not in process, acts as a Supervisor overseeing many Student workers, helping with gate entry problems/cash pick ups, shuttling staff with golf cart to different areas of the park, answering park phones when needed, assisting with park reservations using RecTrack, as well as opening/closing the Park when needed which includes handling of park safe/cash operations.
