    My job at M&T Bank was three-fold:I was responsible for the future growth planning of their retail locations across the Mid-Atlantic area, including Maryland, Delaware, Virginia and Washington DC. In order to be effective, I had to understand the existing portfolio of locations so that I could determine where M&T should expand, as well as contract, with regards to their retail sites. The portfolio consisted of 550 retails spaces, equivalent to 1.2 million square feet.Secondly, I was responsible for evaluating new retail site locations and determining if an existing structure needed renovation. During my six years with M&T Bank, I performed capital budgeting for over 100 new retail locations and retail renovations. This included managing a team of seven on-site construction managers to successfully open, relocate, displace or rebrand over $200 million worth of projects.Once we determined where to build, I oversaw the design, bidding, construction, quality control and final negotiations on all aspects of the project. I acted as the point person with the architects, engineers, general contractors, construction workers, consultants, as well as both local and Federal agencies in order to achieve the desired outcomes. I worked each project from site development to building completion.I played an integral part in retail site selection and management of M&T Bank’s expansion in the Mid-Atlantic Region as well as provided due diligence and project management for all of M&T Bank’s acquisitions during those six years.

    Everyone knows that the housing market boomed from early 2000 until the late 2007, but who could predict that the bottom was going to fall out the way it did. Just before that that time, many housing projects were still being approved, planned out and funded. During my tenure at NVR Homes, I acted as the on-site project manager for a new homes community located in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. The site consisted of 200 single-family homes and 750 town homes. My role was to manage the new home construction, with budgets ranging from $1 million to $10 million. As with any construction site, problems arose on a daily basis. I was responsible for troubleshooting those issues and acting as a liaison between NVR and county officials.As project manager, I maintained critical path schedule, as well as tracked and documented cost controls for all projects using project management software. The sub-contractors were organized, scheduled and managed through the same system. Safety standards are something that I take very seriously, so I worked diligently to ensure that my sites were compliant and up to code. Clients were kept in the loop regarding the construction process through daily updates communicated by me. If a problem arose, I was the person that worked to find a solution.
