In April 2022, I left my role at PwC to set out on my own, establishing Solico, the Social Linking Consultancy. This was a big step for me, leaving secure employment to do so.Solico was the culmination of having conversations with people around the LGBTQ+ charity I founded and the possibilities that were spoken about. It was an overall positive feeling of those possibilities. It was also from the work I had been doing in and around the health sector for most of my career in roles that have had public protection as their main purpose. Putting this together with the experience gained as a Project Manager at one of the world’s largest consultancy firms, gave me the confidence to proceed and succeed. I'm pleased that Solico now has clients whose main purpose is the desire to help people via community, collaboration, and connections. My work revolves around health and med tech companies, community approaches to health inequalities and the strategic planning to bring them together.
