DGWB was the largest independent ad agency based in Orange County, CA.The natural fit between our agencies and skill sets of our teams greatly expanded marketing and branding opportunities for our mutual clients, as well as new business acquisitions. I was the lead digital strategist, participating in all new business endeavors and client planning/strategy efforts.As the Head of Digital for a full-service ad agency that was not yet digitally centric, my core objective was to ensure that clients’ branding and marketing strategies were inclusive of the appropriate mix of digital marketing elements in light of the overall objectives and goals. This role came at a crucial point for the agency, in a time when broadcast media was the primary focus of campaigns, but when clients began to slash traditional budgets after the 2008 market crash. As a catalyst for the movement to smart, more efficient, digitally-focused and analytically-based strategies, we helped clients weather a difficult financial storm.
