CurrentFull-Time: Trainer, Safety Officer-Environmental, Health, Safety (EHS)Instructor and Curriculum Developer for Environmental, Health and Safety programs supporting the US Navy Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC); an enterprise of Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA).• Manages and provides industrial safety training covering environmental, health and safety requirements relating to the Maritime Industry. Maintains required environmental, health and safety records and documentation.• Develops course curriculum and serves as the instructor for the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Standards for the Maritime Industry-Shipyard Employment 10-Hour Course, Control of Hazardous Energy (Lock-Out/Tag-Out), and Electrical Safety courses.• Manages, and supports administrative functions for SWRMC Hazard Recognition and OSHA Voluntary Protection Programs (VPP) Fundamentals courses. Initiated curriculum update for the SWRMC EHS Department Command Indoctrination briefing.• Coordinates schedules and training facilities with SWRMC Training Department to maximize student access and throughput.• Collaborated with SWRMC Department Heads to secure a training facility in response to flooding and subsequent building renovations at the command. Organized and arranged training room to create a professional learning environment.• Documents training records using US Navy Enterprise Safety Administration and Management System (ESAMS) as well as the University of California San Diego Extension OSHA Outreach Training Institute Education (OTIEC) online application.• Tracks training goals and projections and prepares programmatic reports, justifications, charts, graphs, statistical, and narrative data for organization-level presentations and briefings.
