Being one of three in a small department with a client base of up to 20 000, the position was very demanding due to the fast paced environment in which it exists - similar to that of a call centre. Although the majority of work would involve answering incoming queries, other responsibilities would include - processing customer payments; processing new registrations; arranging collections through drivers, couriers and sub-contractors; conducting reports for credit control; promotional mailing through send blasters and Outlook Express; conducting wage bonus reports for factory staff and managing mail room staff. Working in a cash office, my duties varied from preparing financial data for the accounts department; daily banking; resolving outstanding accounts; data entry; processing credit agreements and conducting Branch Analysis Reports e.g. balancing figures on system against money banked via PDQ and physical cash.

The position involved invoicing (credit control); stock orders; waste control (sales shrinkage); ticketing; customer service; stock replenishment; supervising staff and the general running of store.
