Conducted market research to highlight potential new investment opportunities around the globe. Assisted with Perennial Capital’s fund raising efforts, quarterly reporting and other ad hoc projects.

Responsible for the oversight, project assignments, and performance reviews of 4 employees. Provided oversight and strategic guidance for the team’s cross departmental initiatives. Managed the beta testing and implementation of operating metrics across all private equity asset classes. Lead ad hoc projects to assist the research consultants and private equity specialist consultants with models, in depth research, and scenario testing.

Responsible for the oversight, management, and performance reviews for 10 employees. Report directly to the director of the department on all changes to the real estate database, its development, and the development of new real estate research reports. Improvements include the addition of fund level codes such as risk profiles, additional regional enhancements, focuses, and capital structures. Also developed of a property level database capable of tracking all qualitative data and cash flows for individual property investments. Headed up multiple ad hoc projects such as the correction of the non-marketable alternative assets currency conversion methodology and the development of a new net asset value model which was able to predict values with a 0.3% variance when compared to a client’s entire portfolio. This model is currently being used for clients with audit dates that come before a fund publishes audited capital account valuations.

Responsible for the quality control and the workloads for a team of 6-8 associates, junior analysts, and analysts, and continuous monitoring of 40 funds and 10 clients. Primary responsibilities related to associate team members includes ensuring the accuracy of associates’ funds (80-150 per associate), ensuring accurate and timely completion of requested qualitative due diligence reports on funds managers, guaranteeing that each associate has the appropriate work load and shifting resources to ensure timely completion of all projects, and meeting with management weekly to report on each associate’s weekly activities and performance. Primary responsibilities related to junior analyst and analyst team members includes reviewing all client reports, helping with the creation of special exhibits, monitoring workloads, and serving as the main point of contact for heads of special projects. Also completed a written statistical analysis comparing how a client’s selected vintage year investments performed compared to its particular benchmark. This analysis also included an analysis of how individual outliers, fund weightings, and clustering of returns swayed the benchmarks.

Responsible for 18 clients, which included the department’s largest client, the performance monitoring of 80 funds, and quality control of an associate’s fund monitoring. Oversaw a number of special projects including a stock distribution analysis and its impact on the private equity and venture capital benchmarks, the development of the real estate exposure report for client’s portfolio analysis, development of the Matrix report for client portfolio analysis, and ensuring that all new associates are trained and ready to take on their main work load within three weeks of their start date.
