My duties as an Systems Developer were primarily to oversee the implementation of CPI’s proprietary intellectual property management software. This included data conversion and validation of any existing legacy data as well as making any programmatic changes to the base system in order to meet the client’s specifications. The systems were based in the following languages: DataEase, Access 2.0, Access 97 and SQL. Most of the final implementations necessitated my traveling to the individual client sites. Additionally, I provided both initial and continuing education as to the proper usage of the CPI systems. This involved the preparation all of teaching materials, unlimited telephone support and onsite training sessions.When acting as a Marketing and Sales Representative, I would meet with the prospect and present the CPI software and services. This included demonstrating the base software, preliminary requirements analysis to determine project scope and negotiation of the costs associated with the purchase of our software.
