I began my career in wireless communications during the late 90s and early 2000s, when cell phones became much smaller and more affordable. I founded my first company when I was twenty one and then co-founded two more companies at the age of twenty-three, which are still operating today. One of those, Employer Flexible, began as a traditional staffing and search firm that morphed into providing all types of business outsourced services over the last twenty years, but primarily is now engaged as a platform company expanding throughout the country as a professional employer organization, providing HR outsourcing services serving tens of thousands of employees as a top 20 provider in the country. The gift of being able to learn from our clients of all sizes and industries was truly unexpected as they matriculated both good and challenging cycles. Over time, my role has gone from being very active in daily operations to focusing on our wide variety of investments, including overseeing all of the legal, fiscal, and regulatory aspects of those holdings. That has further shifted these last few years to focus on the education field in a full time capacity.In 2012, the Lord called my wife and I to start a classical, University-Model School in the Memorial/Spring Branch area of Houston, which was Houston's only certified and accredited University-Model, classical, Christian school. In the fall of 2020, we agreed to help launch Second Baptist School University-Model (SBSUM) and Paratus evolved into the Memorial Campus of SBSUM, launching in the Fall of 2021 with two hundred and sixty-seven former Paratus students.SBSUM is now serving over one thousand students across five Second Baptist campuses, with a sixth campus launching in the fall of 2025.
