Standing by the cars I was the first point of contact for the public had to have a thorough understanding and knowledge of all aspects of the vehicles. During this week’s placement, I learnt about all the techniques and processes used to make Ford Transits, and following the production line from start to finish opened my eyes to the technology used in these factories.

Shadowing existing staff members, this was my first insight into the world of work. I learnt how essential team-working skills were, and developed my communication skills within a group environment.
