Working within a small yet busy Strategy & Operations team that reports directly to the Group Chief Auditor, this role has responsibility for the coordination and production of regular reporting to the Group Audit Committee, Group Executive and the Board of RSA. Working with stakeholders globally in our regional offices I ensure that GIA has the most up to date information available at all times on the status of the audit plan and underlying performance drivers. Some of my key successes within this role are outlined below:- Consolidation of the reporting process from regionally produced content to a more streamlined central process owned by the Group Operations team.- Ensuring consistency and accuracy of data through regular data validation exercises and structured reporting submissions.- Taking ownership of the day to day GRC system support function for Internal Audit and working on a number of projects and initiatives around system changes and upgrades. I also work with a group of regional ‘Super’ users to ensure each team has an expert able to provide training and support where necessary.- Moving from regional submissions to an automated process using data from the central GRC system for all reporting. A number of supporting reports have been developed to help senior managers ensure their data is accurate and updated in a timely fashion.- Production of numerous other reports used regularly by senior managers to manage performance.

Working within the busy Marketing Effectiveness team my role was to ensure that business SLA’s were adhered to for regular reporting, across multiple brands and products, whilst driving insightful analysis of available data. A large part of the role involved developing reporting solutions to achieve these goals. This was is done through the use of dynamic input and output systems used by the Marketing community to make their jobs easier. I have a keen eye for aesthetics and pride myself on both the appearance and functionality of my systems. My work has been recognised a number of times by my stakeholders in the form of internal awards and positive feedback from all levels. The executive community, in their regular meetings, primarily use packs coordinated by the team to discuss Marketing performance. I also represented the Marketing department as an elected member of the Employee Representative Body (ERB). Some of the key projects i was involved with are outlined below:- A real time, multi user, Telephony Database to facilitate the allocation and performance tracking of telephone numbers used in marketing campaigns. Incorporating individual user level security and audit trails, the database became the foundation for all call reporting within the department. - The Forecasting Tool was developed for use during the reforecast process. Using the agreed upon monthly volume target users were able to cut this volume to a daily level based on past performance trends. This complimented the teams regular KPI reporting to allow a variance to forecast. The output from this process fed into the Finance team and was considered to be the definitive view for expected performance. - The Forecasting Portal was a tool developed allowing users to create variable forecasting scenarios across different media lines. The tools enhanced the reporting capacity within the department allowing greater feedback on campaign performance.

Working as part of the National Performance team, under the leadership of the Operations Director. The role involved daily reporting/analysis of call centre data as well as the development & maintenance of reporting solutions. This position required regular communication with all levels of the business on a daily basis. Some of the key projects & systems I developed are outlined below:- A Marketing Accruals system used for month end accruals reporting and Purchase Order recording. - The Staffing database was built to ensure oversight of staff movements and changes to personal information needed for the creation of timely and accurate MI reporting.- A Quality Assessment database used across multiple locations for data input and reporting by the QA team.- The MI intranet site was developed as an online presence for the MI team, allowing customers online access to reporting.- The development of a 'Shift Preference' database to support an HR initiative introduced to change staff shift patterns and record staff choices whilst providing immediate support and up to the minute reporting on the progress of the initiative.
