I'm currently an undergraduate student at San Jose State University. I aim to become a physical therapist, so I may help athletes and people alike recover from their injuries. Growing up playing ice hockey taught me that it is important to take care of my body, and I want to help others do just that. After a bad hit in youth hockey, I strained a ligament in my left knee and was on crutches for a week. What I didn't know was that the injury would later cause my left hip flexor to give me lingering issues. I showed me that I needed to rehab after injuries, rather than rush myself back into play. I want to help athletes understand what I painfully realized. It is also incredibly inspiring to watch an athlete return from an injury against all odds, and I would love to help them make their comeback story.Although my career path will likely take most of my time, I hope to continue to play hockey. Hockey has always been a healthy and constructive way for me to develop leadership and teamwork skills. There is nothing I love more than being apart of a team atmosphere, and competing with and for them.
