In this role I was responsible for the overseeing of maintenance, technical direction and development of the TASS portal range of School Administration Software. TASS is a nationally recognized leader in the field of School Administration Software that is used by 161 institutions in Australia and Internationally. The portal suite of products that fall under my direction are Teacher Kiosk, Webbook, Student Café, Parent Lounge, Past Students, Sports Results and Business Directory. Success related to the implementation of programming standards, programming and framework methodologies over the last year have seen a reduction of the programming team time from 80% of the time fixing bugs and making usability changes inside the products to less than 10% of the time doing these same tasks. Increasing the robustness of the portal products has had a dramatic effect in reducing the number of support calls received by the TASS call center.
