Oversight of business operations with a focused on strategic operations management, operating model development and global management of large transformation/innovation initiatives

As a start-up Bermuda based specialty lines insurance carrier, Ironshore expanded to New York in 2008 and built a global presence with over $2 billion in premium. Acquired by Liberty Mutual in 2018. As VP, Global Head of Program Management, I was responsible for overseeing initiatives that drove global operational transformation creating efficiencies, capacity and reducing costs. Managed a team and annual budget of $25 million. Accomplishments included establishing the global program management office for business demand and delivery of operational services, partnering with the COOto develop an operating model and associated system solution to reduce costs and create efficiencies, restructuring international operations, implementing robotics leading to faster processing and reduced costs, delivered solutions to facilitate global data management and financial close consolidation, and building a global business continuity and crisis management program.

Worked under the COO focused on implementing global financial, operational, and IT processes and systems to drive operational efficiency. Accomplishments include assisted the COO in establishing a service company and associated Target Operating Model that drove a 3%-point expense ratio reduction, managed the delivery of a 5-year Target Operating Model roadmap as well as the concurrent transition of operations (200+ resources), implementing a global reinsurance system, and building global policies and procedures.

Provided hands on support as well as managed initiatives for the build out of US operations and associated systems. Facilitated process optimization evaluations and redesigns as well as assessed control design and operating effectiveness and identified and implemented suggestions for process and control efficiencies

Group Health Incorporated (GHI) is a tri-State not-for-profit healthcare provider and administrator. GHI, along with HIP, is a part of Emblem Health Inc. As a project leader within GHI, I built an internal control compliance program for financial and operational processes of legal entities related to the requirements of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002.

Deloitte is a global service company specializing in audit, tax, consulting, enterprise risk and financial advisory services. - Established the program management office for a Fortune 500 company’s internal control framework implementation. - Led a team in the successful completion of a multimillion-dollar claims reconciliation.

Provided financial and regulatory services to insurance companies including internal/external audit support, process analysis and redesign, reinsurance contract analysis, and internal control design/development.
