• Scheme Actuary to the UK pension scheme of a US financial institution• Trustee adviser to several FTSE100 pension schemes• Corporate adviser to a FTSE100 insurer and energy company, a public broadcaster and a leading charity• Longevity specialist with a focus on disease-based mortality modelling• Sits on the practice’s dedicated mortality group and leads the group’s work on future mortality improvements• Involved in business development and marketing initiativesI lead a small team responsible for maintaining and developing Towers Watson’s disease-based mortality model, which is used for assessing future mortality improvement assumptions for UK pension schemes. This is a multi-state disease model covering over 50 individual diseases and conditions spread across 8 principal disease groups and their co-morbidities. I also work with a specialist medical research consultancy to consider relevant medical research and how it may affect the projection of disease incidence and mortality rates.
