Promoted to Radio/Television News Director October 1985. AP award winner for TV Sports Production and Editorials. As stations again split news staffs, named Operations Manager/News Director for WHP-AM as station moved to News/Talk April 1989. During the next three years won more than a dozen awards for live news coverage, enterprise reporting, news series, sports reporting and children's programming. Station ratings moved from 9th to 3rd in the market, including 1st or 2nd in mornings as Host, Good Morning Pennsylvania. Also served as back-up talk show and sports talk show host, and voiced all station promotion.
