Chris Flain is the Field Service Manager and has earned his merit working his way up through the ranks at OPS, joining way back in 2008.His day can start before most people are awake, often reaching the Dartford depot before sunrise. His position entails providing continuous support to all of the OPS engineers both by telephone and on site.Chris will arrange the engineers booking in jobs against their correct skill set, with all projects going through him from the engineering point of view, and liaises with the clients on both current and upcoming projects.Site surveys are a regular feature of his work, which will encompass a detailed technical follow up report, written risk assessment and relevant method statements.Chris remains very much a hands-on member of the OPS crew, attending on site installations and site management when needed, which can include pulling cables to liaising with customers, operating load banks to checking on the engineers. He is also an OPS senior authorised staff member and will be involved in all HV works, all final connections and operations.Chris has also become an integral part of the OPS social media team – if you check out the Twitter feed, the LinkedIn page, the Google+ page or even the OPS Instagram or Facebook page, the chances are that the images you will see will have been the handy work of Chris.A true all-rounder, OPS are proud to have Chris as part of their long-standing crew.
