Research And Development
Private R&D
The vast majority of my work in the last 4 years has been based in not-for-profit based research & development projects as well as serving in consulting and advisory roles of various capacity. Agriculture: Currently Part of the State of Nevada Department of Agriculture and University of Nevada-Reno (UNR) Research & Development program. Due to my previous work in cultivation and production, my first year focus has been on development of best practices in outside influences of crop production and outcomes. This includes: Field and soil/medium development, microbial development and integration, drought resistance, extreme environmental condition preparedness, organic nutrient protocols, watershed and nutrient run off abatement, efficiency in crop transition, and regenerative focused plot development. Through my R&D in the medical cannabis industry, I have developed more than a dozen prototype plant based extraction formulas. My primary focus has been on unique developments in 0.00% THC products, as well as development of new carrier formulations that mitigate the "high" for those who need to take psychoactive extracts for medical purposes and addiction recovery. Prototypes were developed utilizing California based cannabis and Colorado based hemp, and serve as a research standard for licensed medical cannabis and industrial hemp brands to model new medical grade products for market release. Through this I was able to participate in no-cost private research trials that include wide successes in impact for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) families. Additionally, I have consulted, advised, or directly worked with medical and commercial cannabis brands and organizations in: Nevada, California, Colorado, Louisiana, Michigan, Texas, and Illinois. Additional focuses include: sustainable agriculture, urban farming, alternative energy, addiction & recovery, water recycling and re-purposing, community development, robotics, public policy, and the human condition.
