Actualize is a 15-week coding bootcamp and apprentice program that teaches students coding while allowing them to keep their day jobs. After completing the bootcamp, I was hired to work on internal projects and digital consulting for outside clients.Summary of Role: • Pair programed daily in an agile scrum environment• Reported to and worked directly with the CEO of Actualize and Director of Engineering • Completely redesigned a web application (not yet deployed) for Raw Thrills, a global leader in arcade games, and integrated a CMS, game software management, a customer database, and an ecommerce store using Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, Vue.js, and AWS• Designed and deployed DevHero, a networking platform connecting companies with Actualize alumni, using Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, AngularJS, and Redis• Designed and deployed a web application for Education Digital, a digital marketing firm, using Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, and Vue.js• Managed company website and integrated CMR to organize applicants using Ruby on Rails and Vue.js

The Difference Engine is a non-profit 401(c) 3 that does pro bono development work for other non-profit and charitable organizations. This was a four month apprentice program.Summary of Role:• Reported to the team technical lead and the project owner• Pair programed in an agile scrum environment on a team of 5 developers• Served as scrum master and developed a web application for the John Marshall Law School Domestic Violence Clinic to help clients determine eligibility for tax relief using Ruby on Rails, AngularJS, and JavaScript • Served as project manager and developed a web application for Just-a-Break to manage donations and their volunteer database using Ruby on Rails, AngularJS, and JavaScript
