Actualize is a 15-week coding bootcamp and apprentice program that teaches students coding while allowing them to keep their day jobs. After completing the bootcamp, I was hired to work on internal projects and digital consulting for outside clients.Summary of Role: • Pair programed daily in an agile scrum environment• Reported to and worked directly with the CEO of Actualize and Director of Engineering • Completely redesigned a web application (not yet deployed) for Raw Thrills, a global leader in arcade games, and integrated a CMS, game software management, a customer database, and an ecommerce store using Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, Vue.js, and AWS• Designed and deployed DevHero, a networking platform connecting companies with Actualize alumni, using Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, AngularJS, and Redis• Designed and deployed a web application for Education Digital, a digital marketing firm, using Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, and Vue.js• Managed company website and integrated CMR to organize applicants using Ruby on Rails and Vue.js

The Difference Engine is a non-profit 401(c) 3 that does pro bono development work for other non-profit and charitable organizations. This was a four month apprentice program.Summary of Role:• Reported to the team technical lead and the project owner• Pair programed in an agile scrum environment on a team of 5 developers• Served as scrum master and developed a web application for the John Marshall Law School Domestic Violence Clinic to help clients determine eligibility for tax relief using Ruby on Rails, AngularJS, and JavaScript • Served as project manager and developed a web application for Just-a-Break to manage donations and their volunteer database using Ruby on Rails, AngularJS, and JavaScript

Lacrosse America is the largest lacrosse events provider in the Midwest with annual tournaments throughout the region.Summary of Role:• Coordinated operations for 15+ lacrosse tournaments, including the Midwest’s largest with 200 teams and 15,000+ people• Worked with leadership to create budget; consistently delivered events at or under budget• Trained new staff and developed processes focused on safety and efficiency• Managed relationships with local vendors, site owners, and municipalities to provide appropriate amenities, services, and security for athletes and spectators• Coordinated Winter Indoor Lacrosse Leagues and provided on site administrative supportPromoted to Director of Tournament Operations, May 2014
