After 37 years in the medical laboratory diagnostics market working in tech support, applications and sales, I have retired from industry and changed roles to full time ministry. I was ordained a Deacon in the Catholic Church in September of 2013, a role I performed on weekends and evenings as needed. I have now accepted a position as a full time Pastoral Associate at a vibrant parish community. As part of the pastoral staff, I coordinate ministers who visit homebound parishioners and those who are in the hospital. I perform hospital rounds at least once per week for pastoral visits to Catholic patients and some non-Catholic patients. I have launched a bereavement ministry. I manage social media for the parish and also develop evangelization efforts. I will help to teach adult formation. As a deacon, I assist at all liturgies, preach, perform baptisms, weddings and funerals, and presiding at prayer services for nursing homes and holy hours. I also direct operations for a food and clothing ministry that serves the homeless and impoverished in Stark County Ohio which I have been working with since 2009. My previous experience is in the sales of products for molecular infectious disease testing, blood bank, hematology, coagulation, lab automation and flow cytometry.I have mentored and helped to train new hires in sales, as well as technical positions.Many years experience in applications specialist positions, technical support and service.I am Lean Healthcare Certified since 2007.
