CURRENT Group was acquired by Ormazabal.Performed architecture and design duties for CURRENT SmartGrid networks, systems, equipment, processes, control platforms, and documentation. Areas of key focus included telecommunications, systemic security, and process control. Worked on the development of PRIME metering systems, wireless (cellular and WiMax) and traditional wired (Ethernet) backhaul solutions, multi‐layer (L2/L3) platforms and the OpenGrid element management system. The aforementioned systems and equipment have been deployed by utilities in the United States, Europe, and Australia. Assisted with the development and testing of Patent Pending Powerline Communication technologies.

CURRENT Group was acquired by Ormazabal.Charged with defining the deployment architecture and standards for some of the largest VoBPL (VoIP over BPL) deployments in the United States. Principle resource for VoIP technical evaluations and VoBPL research and design. Established lab and field validation systems for QoS and SLA validation systems for both BPL and traditional networks, and was the primary engineer for CALEA process documentation and implementation.Extensive experience with BPL network performance within varying physical and logical network topologies. Performed expansive research with HomePlug based BPL voice and data performance. Widespread involvement with the design and deployment of the Cincinnati, OH and Dallas, TX, and Boulder, CO BPL and SmartGrid deployments covering 50,000 and 1.8 million planned, and 100,000 homes respectively. Services included residential broadband services, VoBPL, and SmartGrid technologies.Involved with the technical strategy and standards development for core IP/MPLS networks. Involved in vendor platform and system evaluations. Author of several requests for proposals for core routing and optical equipment. Established standards governing routing, switching, QoS, MPLS, L2 and L3 VPNs.Involved with the implementation of pilot BPL projects throughout the United States, Europe, and South America.

Deployment of packet over SONET, MPLS, BGP, ISIS, ATM, Frame Relay, and Ethernet technologies. Implementation of remove access and out of band systems.Design, development, analysis, and troubleshooting of a National dial‐up (modem) access system for Internet Service Providers and secure banking use. Heavy use of Cisco AS5XXX access servers. Involved with Cisco next‐generation DSP beta programs for the Mica and AS5850 systems. Additional support of Lucent/Livingston PortMaster 2/3 and 3COM/USRobotics TotalControl solutions.
