As Development Director I was responsible for overseeing the development team at Eye Web, including managing their activities and personal development. I was also still heavily involved as a hands on developer, working on client projects and creating & maintaining the various internal frameworks and tools. I also undertook responsibilities towards the companies business development and spearheaded the companies digital marketing activities.I based my development around the use of the following languages; PHP, HTML/5, CSS/3, Javascript. I am also a keen user of frameworks, including cakePHP, Codeigniter and Laravel. I also created a bespoke framework/cms hybrid, which was used as the company's internal development tool for client websites.Due to an extensive interest in expanding my skills and knowledge of development, I also have a good working knowledge of other languages, and database technologies.Additionally I also held the responsibility for managing and maintaining the company hosting infrastructure.

XTR Game Servers, were a Game Server Provider which provided services for gamers to have customised game servers which they managed themselves. The servers were a mixture of virtualised & dedicated hardware, all of which I managed and provided access to as a service.All services were targeted at the consumer gaming industry, primarily in the UK, but with some European & American presence.In addition, I also created, managed and developed the companies website, ecommerce platform and automated deployment system for server instances.

AT Intrahost I was charged with undertaken various tasks to ensure the smooth running, and efficient growth of the company. This was a mix of taking instruction form Directors and senior management, and ensuring the the requirements of the task at hand were undertaken correctly, and using my own plans and initiative.This role also covered a wide range of additional responsibilities, including maintaining the efficiency and service of the companies numerous data-centres, managing the customer facing systems such as websites and stores, and where required, being involved with higher level support requests.Whilst at Intrahost, I also was responsible for aspects of the set up and oversight of Intrahost's 2 brands Virtual Server Warehouse and Dedicated Server Warehouse.
