Employed as an SMP Superintendent, core role deliverables included:► Greenfields/Brownfields environment, managing structural and piping pre-works for mini and major shutdowns, as well as construction and installation of new floatation buildings, horizontal and vertical mills, cyclones, hoppers, medium to large size pumps, fire protection systems and interconnecting piping, and major tie-ins of new equipment to existing facilities► Direct management of 4 Supervisors, each supervising 12-man crews made up of pipe fitters, boilermakers, special class welders, mechanical fitters, riggers and T/A’s, ensuring the supervisors had all the skills and resources to drive performance and high-quality outcomes through their teams, and delegating work packs for field execution► Worked closely with client representatives to mitigate delays to availability of equipment and materials for construction and pre-shutdowns, as well as with the Hydro Testing Department and NDT technicians for field testing and final sign offs, and with the Construction Manager to ensure jobs were being completed on-time ► Planned field system walk downs to allow final ITR/FTR sign-offs with client and handover to Commissioning Department► Compared schedule against productivity and reported detailed delays during weekly schedule meetings.
