I currently serve in an operating partner role MidOcean Partners, a private equity firm focused on high-quality middle market companies in the consumer and business services sectors. Actively assisting MidOcean to develop and pursue an investment thesis for the franchise industry as well as supporting diligence around potential investments as part of the MidOcean Executive Board. The Executive Board is comprised of influential senior executives who have experience running companies within MidOcean’s target sectors. These industry executives, typically former Chairmen or CEO's, serve on Boards of Directors of select portfolio companies and provide operational expertise and insights, including in-depth knowledge of industry dynamics, competitive landscapes and trends, that guide MidOcean’s investment themes and value creation strategies. In addition, I serve as Chairman of Empower Brands, a portfolio company of MidOcean Partners.From its formation until October 2021, I served as Chairman & CEO of Outdoor Living Brands, a company fully focused on outdoor living including: (1) Archadeck, the world's leading design and build contractor of custom decks, porches, sun rooms, patios and outdoor living spaces; (2) Outdoor Lighting Perspectives, the world's leader in outdoor lighting systems; (3) Conserva Irrigation, focused on the service and maintenance of sprinkler systems in a water-efficient manner. Outdoor Living Brands is also formerly the franchisor of Mosquito Squad, which was sold to Authority Brands in December 2018. In my role, I set strategic direction for the company, including growth through its 250+ franchisees, acquisitions, and fostering a corporate culture of innovation and service.Prior to the formation of Outdoor Living Brands, I worked for Accenture, CFC, two investment banking and M&A advisory firms. During my career, I served in an advisory capacity of nearly $1.0 billion of transactions including corporate sales, acquisitions, divestitures and both public and private market equity and debt financings.I have a bachelor's degree in business administration with a concentration in finance from the University of Notre Dame and a master's of business administration from Virginia Commonwealth University.Specialties: Strategic planning, leadership, organizational development, mergers and acquisitions, franchising, franchise recruiting
