Provide systems design, problem resolution, day-to-day management, and support for PC and Macintosh workstation, servers, and networks as well as website design and programming.

Assisted in the design and implementation of a complete IT infrastructure for the Museum’s new location at 48 Wall Street in NYC. This included the acquisition, installation, and implementation of a 200+ node network. The network consisted of computers used by the museum store, admissions, exhibits, general office staff, and a server used for file, print, and Microsoft SQL database services.

Initial workstation, network and Exchange Server setup. As needed support and maintenance for workstations, server and network. Coordinate IT efforts in this country with the Korean home office.

Responsibilities included planning, purchasing, integrating, training, troubleshooting, upgrading, and supporting all computer operations for the entire company. Included sole management of an environment with cross platform compatible file services for over 90 Macintosh and Windows workstations. Other responsibilities included Microsoft Exchange Server e-mail, fault tolerant servers utilizing RAID technology, tape backup and archival equipment, scanners, workgroup and desktop printers, and presentation equipment. Functioned as the focal point to organize the efforts of our vendors, clients, administrators, production, and creative staff to maintain a smooth operating IT environment.

Extensive experience using graphic design programs such as Quark Xpress, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator on a daily basis to produce electronic mechanicals and artwork for submission to printers and publishers. The creation and production of all art and animation related to website creation. Later trained and supervised additional artists to handle such tasks. Responsible for producing all components necessary for multimedia projects utilizing video editing, sound editing, and animation software. Covered for production manager in his absence. Duties included quality control of digital mechanicals, managing the production staff, and procuring freelance staff when necessary. Responsible for the design of all processes and procedures pertaining to file organization, backup systems, mechanical file construction, and distribution of electronic files on magnetic media.

Management of daily operations with regards to Macintosh computer systems. Facilitated the migration of traditional board mechanicals and typesetting procedures to the Macintosh based desktop publishing and PostScript environment of today. Acted as point person for every software package to be evaluated for use by the company.

Responsible for production of traditional board mechanicals, packaging comps, and stats.
