A Deal Advisory Partner, I was a member of the UK firm's Leadership Team from October 2016 to October 2024, with primary responsibility for the firm's Unifying Culture. I previously led the Transaction Services team in the UK for 10 years, standing down in October 2023. The Transaction Services team is a team of specialist corporate finance advisers, providing advice across various business streams, including capital markets, private equity, corporates and banking.Approximately half of our projects for UK clients are in respect of businesses based outside the UK and we work with BDO offices from around the world, drawing on BDO’s presence in over 1000 offices and 160 countries.We understand ambitious and entrepreneurial management teams and we understand the needs of large corporates and city institutions and private equity investors. This makes us the natural choice to bring parties together collaboratively over issues we identify. Our particular skill is to manage and resolve the clashes of culture and business practice that inevitably arise on transactions.We deploy different specialist teams on private equity and capital market transactions, recognising the different commercial needs of our clients and other users of our reports. Our reporting is flexible, issue led and our partners are empowered to give their point of view and provide opinions, not merely analysis.
