I've spent most of my working life in business management, ownership or development. From profit accountable managment posts in the manufacturing sector, I moved onto academia, research and consultancy in a range of public and private sectors. I specialised in assisting organisations oversee strategies for change, typically when resulting from rapid growth or consolidation. -Key experiences include:-Designing DHL's Customer Care processes when they first started operating in Europe.-Working with Middle Eastern hotel groups, including most Jumeirah sites, to assess and communicate their performance, as they rapidly grew.-Several corporate level organisational development/strategic reviews in the telecoms sector, BT (London HQ and Northern Ireland), Deutsche Telecom (Bonn) and KPN (Rotterdam/Hague).-Initiating performance assessment projects within various public sector organisations, including NATO, UK MOD, UK NHS, UK Police Forces, Royal Mail, World Bank and United Nations.-Coaching multiple Business Award winners, in both public and private sectors, to benefit from recognition of their successes and to set/communicate/achieve relevant business development goals.-In the 80's, being part of the team that launched EFQM, Brussels and a exec. member of the Board of their UK partner, BQF, when they launched in the UK. I still hold a passion to help develop better organisations and work, part-time, sometimes pro-bono, with both ‘for profit’ and 'not for profit’ organisations to support their management teams to robustly self-review their organisations performance and then set (and oversee) smart and fair performance goals.
