About Christopher Hanley
I am an enthusiastic design practitioner, with ten years of experience working in the design industry and higher education, graduating with a master’s degree in Ma Design: Product & Furniture; from Nottingham Trent University. Within which, I have prioritised a proactive curiosity in continually developing new contextual approaches with the aim of diversifying thought processes in design, advancing my individual abilities and confidence into a genuine passion. Manufacturing System Developer
Working in conjunction with stakeholders and senior managers to improve upon existing computer-based systems across the company locally and globally. Over this year I was managing the development of a new CAD system and automated electrical design strategy. Both systems allow designers to consistently manage design data and properties, and to quickly develop electrical drawings driven by database. I continuously update & improve upon ‘best practices’ within design for SolidWorks. I was responsible for developing cost saving design solutions, producing technical drawings and documentation in quick time frames, approving production first offs and overseeing assembly on the production line.
