Football Utd has built a network of professional tipsters specialized at betting on football. Through the technical platform of Football Utd these tipsters post tips based on bets they have placed with various betting companies, and these tips are then distributed to end customers.As CTO for this startup I was responsible for and fully hands-on with the implementation and operation of all parts of the service, including web sites and mobile apps with integrations to sports betting operators. Key technologies used include Ruby, Ionic, PostgreSQL and Heroku.

Edumanity is an e-learning company with an innovative learning process. I was brought in as a contractor to manage the technical side when they were awarded a United Nations endorsed project to build a new technical platform and mobile web application based on this process. I was responsible for planning and co-ordinating the development work done by external contractors.Key technologies included Javascript/Node.js, PostgreSQL and Rackspace.

I managed everything related to our main product Hattrick, the original and free online football management game. This included staff management, project and product portfolio management, strategic planning, daily operations and more. I had about 15 employees who reported to me and whom I depended on for us to achieve the amazing results we did. Together with the CEO and the Marketing Director we touched everything that drove the company and product forward.

I was responsible for building a new development organization to take over the development and maintenance of Hattrick, the original and free online football management game. This involved everything from recruiting a development team to planning projects and managing the day to day work. When Hattrick, and Spelkultur, was bought by a third party I moved focus more to the product and development and less on administrative tasks.

As a member of the XP2012 conference program committee I was part of the group creating the program. Over a few months we took on applications for potential speakers at the conference, evaluated them, worked with the speakers to refine their suggestions and finally put together the program.

Holding leadership positions in first Extralives, then Spelkultur, the companies that developed and operated the game Hattrick, I was a member of the advisory board of the parent company. In quarterly meetings we discussed and planned strategies for the company and the games it operated.

I was a member of the program committee for the 2011 and 2010 Øredev conference in Malmö, Sweden. Responsible for the content of the tracks Collaboration and Agile.

Hattrick is the original online football management game. Extralives was responsible for the development and maintenance of the game and everything around it. As development manager I was responsible for organizing the team, coordinating projects and tasks and also took part in the daily work of the team as a senior developer. I was also a member of the advisory board for Hattrick Ltd, the company operating Hattrick.

I co-founded Blueplane together with Andrés Taylor and Marcus Widerberg, and later we recruited Joakim Karlsson as a partner. Our mission was to help software development organizations continuously improve, focusing on three key areas; process, technology and collaboration.I worked with multiple clients on project and organizational assessments, technical mentoring assignments, and agile transformation initiatives. Together with my partners I was also involved in sales and marketing and all other aspects of running the company.

I was recruited to join and help build Epsilon IT (now part of ÅF) from the start of the company. Apart from consulting with clients I was also involved in recruiting, competence increasing activities and marketing through public speaking engagements.As a consultant I worked as a senior developer in a very large client project, implementing a new framework for building client-side applications to operate the customer’s hardware.

As a consultant at Dotway I worked both inhouse and at clients as a developer, tech lead, mentor and agile coach.

As the first paid employee of this startup I worked as a developer focusing specifically on the database systems. During this very expansive growth period the number of users as well as amount of data doubled about at the rate of every three months, and a large part of our focus was on continually monitoring and improving the performance.

As a consultant at Apptus I worked on both inhouse and external client projects. My main focus was on Microsoft SQL Server and .Net development, but I also contributed to our proprietary data management platform built in Java. During the later part of my time at Apptus I also was involved in a lot of technical presales work.

I worked mainly as a developer on inhouse client projects, sometimes alone and at other times as art of a larger team. I also did a lot of techical presales work, wrote estimates and quotes for client projects and evaluated new technologies.
