Beyond the shadow of a doubt - I live my dream of helping people with their finances. In the beginning, however, it was more of a nightmare. October 1st 2008 was my first day on the job. I was excited and ready to serve. I was armed with a finance degree from UTSA, an internship at Merrill Lynch, and three years of banking experience at Citibank. Nothing could stop me! The problem I soon realized was that I began my career in financial services during the worst economic time since the Great Depression, and I failed miserably. By 2010 I was ready to quit and go find another line of work that offered a steady paycheck…but two things happened before I pulled that trigger. One – my wife Veronica encouraged me to not quit. She stood by me through all the tough times of starting a business those first two years and told me we couldn’t give up just yet. Two – I briefly met with an accomplished financial advisor who left a lasting impression on me. I remember saying to him “I met you once for 10 minutes, and I am complete stranger. It is my dream to be in the financial services business but I don’t know what I am doing. I am about to fail out of the industry…and I have been told I could learn a lot from you. Will you please help me?” Without hesitation he said “Yes.” Within a month we held several school presentations and he introduced me to the team he had assembled, their procedures, and most important – their philosophies. In 2012 after two years with this group I hit a major goal of qualifying for the Million Dollar Round Table. I’ve achieved that same qualification every year since. I am incredibly thankful for my wife Veronica and all of her support. I am amazingly blessed to have my daughters Logan, Reese and Leighton. Last – I am honored to now be a part of the Strategic Capital family. I do not know where I would be without this talented group…but I do know that I wouldn’t be doing what I love and serving you!©2021.
