Chris Hewitt was responsible for starting Hollingsworth Pack’s Austin office in 2010, and is currently responsible for management and oversight of all structural engineering work in the firm. He has 15+ years of diversified experience as a licensed structural engineer. Mr. Hewitt’s extensive knowledge of construction materials and methods such as steel, CIP concrete, tilt-wall concrete, post-tensioned concrete, masonry, and timber allow him to present a variety of options for clients and contractors to facilitate informed decisions. In addition to new building construction, Mr. Hewitt has significant experience in forensic analysis and rehabilitation of distressed structures, and observation, investigation, and technical reporting on existing construction. He also has over four years of experience performing on-site project and construction management consulting for the U.S. Department of State on worldwide projects including contractor oversight, inspection and quality assurance, schedule performance review, project controls tracking, and cost estimating services.Mr. Hewitt received a Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, and was a member of the National Engineering Honor Society. He is now an active professional member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Structural Engineering Association of Texas, the Construction Management Association of America, and holds a DSS Secret level personnel security clearance. Mr. Hewitt is a registered professional engineer (PE) in the State of Texas among others, and an NCEES Model Law Structural Engineer with capability to be licensed in any U.S. State..
