I am responsible for: • Working with partners to identify and validate trade facilitation issues that could be addressed through an Alliance project• Developing projects aimed at finding practical, sustainable solutions to selected trade facilitation issues• Managing a portfolio of Alliance projects in implementation across the Developing World To date I have led the following projects:• In Mozambique, streamlining and digitalizing the import process for vital health care products, including vaccines (in collaboration with UNICEF) and rapid test kits (in support of the country's fight against malaria and HIV/AIDS)• In Madagascar, stress testing emergency procedures for the importation of humanitarian relief following natural disasters (in collaboration with the World Customs Organization and the National Center for Disaster Preparedness, Columbia University)• In Senegal building collaboration between the local technology sector and Customs to reduce delays and disputes related to the valuation of technology. I have also provided support to the Alliance team in Uganda, helping them complete the requirements for a new system for the phytosanitary inspection of fresh fruit and vegetable exports. Show less
