About Chris Hotop
Facility design, site development and construction has always been a passion of mine. It is simply part of my genetic make-up with generations of my family being involved in the development, design, and construction industries. I started building houses in high school, went to engineering school at Mizzou, and began working for a civil engineering firm my sophomore year of college. Since 1995, I have used my civil engineering education and construction background to design and construct aviation, commercial, industrial, and residential projects across the country. With many years of experience developing concepts with owners, presenting projects at public hearings, and working with public and regulatory officials, I have a knack for building consensus with all stakeholders from concept through completion to achieve the necessary permitting and entitlements for a wide range of projects. Specialties: EPC Project management, construction management, aviation facility projects, environmental restoration and remediation.I am also very involved in local community organizations. I was in the KC Chamber Centurions Program from 2007-09, I served on the Board of Directors for Ozanam from 2006-2012, I served as Chair of the Parish Council for Christ the King Church from 2004-2006, and President of Friends of the River - KC from 2010-2012. I currently serve on the Building Commission for the Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph and coach parochial league youth basketball and other sports leagues for my 4 kids. I have also spent much time volunteering for Alzheimer's Association, YouthFriends, and Big Brothers/Big Sisters. I am blessed to have had the opportunity to volunteer and serve these great organizations.
