Job Purpose: Prepares basic financial reports under general supervision. Performs moderately complex activities related to the maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger.Major Responsibilities:1) Prepares income and balance sheet statements, consolidated statements, and various other accounting statements and reports.2) Analyzes financial reports and records, making recommendations relative to the accounting of reserves, assets, and expenditures.3) Reviews and verifies the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records.4) Analyzes trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses. 5) Reports the company’s finances to management, offering suggestions about resource utilization, tax strategies, and assumptions underlying budget forecasts.6) Prepares journal entries as needed.7) Conducts special studies and develops or recommends accounting methods and procedures.8) Coordinates accounting matters with other departments, locations, and divisions.9) Reconciles assigned accounts and calculates depreciation/amoritization expenses.10) Reports actuals and forecasts to UK monthly.11) Prepares and distributes monthly Financial Books.12) May assist with training and mentoring Accountants.
