As the Trust's Senior Security Engineer I take the technical lead on anything related to IT security. I manage and maintain the Trust's security infrastructure, including firewalls, web and mail proxy servers and the wireless network. I design and implement small and large scale projects within the Network and Security Team. I produce and update documentation including reporting, procedures and design documents.Key Contributions:Designed and implemented replacement web proxy servers moving from WebMarshal to Cisco IronPort.Designed and implemented the Trust's WAN upgrade and remediation.Moved the Trust's internet connection including a change to public IP addresses to a new resilient connection.Implemented the Trust's side of the KHP network.Designed and implemented shared broadcasting of King's College London and the Trust's wireless SSIDs.

I managed the day to day security duties including incident response, firewall requests and McAfee Antivirus. I also managed and owned the entire KCL wireless infrastructure including all maintenance, upgrades and provisioning of new services.Key Contributions:Designed and implemented upgrade to Cisco ACS 5.1 to provide single RADIUS authentication servers with inter-site resilience.Designed and implemented AccessKings and eduroam wireless SSIDs.Designed the KHP wireless network sharing.Installed a Snort Intrusion Detection System to better detect security incidents such as viruses and copyright infringements.Worked with the ISS Call Centre to set up a dedicated security group within the Call Centre.

I managed and maintained KCL's network infrastructure - troubleshooting complex network related issues. I managed and maintained KCL's wireless infrastructure.Key Contributions:Designed and implemented the upgrade from autonomous wireless access points to centrally managed Wireless LAN Controllers.

King's College LondonI supported KCL's network infrastructure - troubleshooting complex network related issues. I worked effectively in a small team providing frontline support for the Network and Security team.Key Contributions:Upgrade of the access switches at the Strand to allow for more VLANs.

I supported the desktop computers for both student and ISS staff - including frontline support for high profile events such as enrolment, clearing and examinations.Key Contributions:Redesigned the build process for PAWS machines, reducing the amount of images needed from around eighty to five.Implemented Ghost imaging software to reduce the need for building ISS PCs from scratch and providing a consistent desktop.

I provided trading floor support for a small investment bank and remote support for our international offices. This involved desktop, server and telephony support and maintaining relationships with third party suppliers.Key Contributions:Implementation of new helpdesk system using Lotus Notes Domino.

I provided administrative and IT support to a large government file store.Key Contributions:Designed and implemented a new file system reducing the space needed on the shelves and stream lining the retention period.
